Boarding Prices for 2024
We are not taking on any new clients as we are running at full capacity.
For exisiting clients the cost is £9.00 per day per tortoise - This includes drop off and pick up days
£6.00 per day - for each additional tortoise. As tortoises are essentially solitary animals, we accommodate each tortoise in separate accommodation.
Included in the price:
*Large, individual, indoor tortoise tables each with their own heat and UV lamps.
*Daily care for your tortoise including regular baths.
*Time in the tortoise garden during summer months in an individual, escape-proof run with refuge.
*All food - Weeds & flowers are grown at Tortoise bnb (You're welcome to bring food if you wish.)
*Substrate and daily cleaning.
Additional Services:
* Nail & Beak trim: £20 while your tortoise is staying at Tortoise Bnb, Please ask when you drop your tortoise off.
*Worm Count test: A poo sample will be posted off for analysis be Vet Emily who will contact you directly with the results and advice on treatment if necessary. The cost is £22.
* Collection & drop off to owners at Harpenden or Hemel Hemstead Railway Stations is also available by prior arrangement at £15 per journey.
Drop off and pick up times.
Monday to Friday between 9 and 10 a.m. or 4 and 6 p.m.
Saturday between 9 and 10 a.m. at Tortoise Bnb only.
Sunday between 9 and 10 a.m at Tortoise Bnb only.
Drop off or pick up may be available outside of these times at an additional cost of £5.
There is no drop off or pick up on Public Holidays (Bank holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Day.)
Hibernation Service Prices: For existing clients only.
Hibernation Service Includes:
- Three weeks 'wind down'.
- Hibernation period of between 6 and fourteen weeks (to be agreed beforehand)
- Up to one week 'wake up' period.
The price for winter 2023/2024 starts at £200 for 6 weeks hibernation and rises by increments to a maximum of £260 for 14 weeks hibernation.
